Where traditional software remains stronger

At the moment, LLMs are less useful for high-volume transactional analysis across large structured databases. Traditional software, database queries and analytical techniques remain stronger for much of that work.

If the central problem is processing years of transactions or analyzing structured data spread across multiple databases, AI is probably not the best starting solution. Use the tools suited to that problem.

Structured records still belong in many AI workflows. An LLM can combine selected records with documents and expert guidance to reason through a business decision. The distinction is between using those facts in a defined workflow and asking a model to replace large-scale transactional analytics.

Context, cost and speed are practical constraints. Large transactional datasets usually need queries or analytical tools to select and aggregate the relevant facts first. The whole database does not have to fit in the model's context window, but the model still needs enough information and business meaning to reason correctly. Traditional tools often remain the better choice for the large-scale processing itself.

That focus is the advantage of working with a boutique. The trade-off is that we are not one provider for every part of a transformation. Your teams or other specialists may lead broader systems integration, ERP or CRM implementation, enterprise data programs, training and large organizational change programs. We work alongside them.
